Memory a day #28 – Uluwatu, Bali

You’ve probably seen this famous temple in pictures on the internet. Uluwatu is situated at the edge of a cliff and provides some of the most scenic photo opts. But a bit further there is a small trail that leads to a secret field with cliff banks and a view that most people don’t know about. Most stop for pictures of Uluwatu and then watch the Kecak dance performance but few know to keep walking until you get to the field. We went there with a local friend Jos who showed us and we hung out there a while as we watched the sunset which displayed a magical orange and purple sky. The area was both was both beautiful and dangerous as only a few steps to far towards the edge and your face would meet rocks 100’s of feet below. Watch out for monkeys who are trained to steal your belongings.
