Memory a day #27 – Georgetown, Malaysia

It’s Malaysia but it’s British. The name obviously. The architecture and roads. The street names. I had some of the most delicious Indian food I have ever had anywhere. On top of that I had more delicious food at the hawker centres. Have you heard of Jimmy Choo? The famous fashion designer? He grew up here. It’s a charming town with great restaurants, beautiful architecture, hawker markets and amazing Indian food. It’s an eclectic melting pot drawing from the old and new world. Indians and chinese settled here years ago creating quite a cultural mix evident from little India to Chinatown.

One of the best places I’ve ever visited. I absolutely love Georgetown (and the rest of Penang)!

  2. It definitely was. When were you there?
